Salam Aidilfitri to my homies and beloveds
Tuesday, September 30, 2008/10:22 PM
WASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUP?

WOW. ONE MONTH HUH? FASTING FOR A WHOLE THIRTY DAYS! (FOR MY BOYS AND MALE READERS). IT JUST ZIPPED PAST DIDN'T IT? DAMN.

I think it only zipped past us because we are secondary four. Otherwise it would have just drug on like any other year. I think the fact that we didn't want bulan puasa to end so quickly made it end faster. Wow. The human's mental resources is a marvel. Can anyone truly unlock the secrets behind the human mind? Well me and my human mind are going to kick ass for O'levels hopefully. Oh well.

SO. On a totally different issue, it's raining. That's... cliche isn't it?

Well I bought my mary janes! FYI to all you boys, mary janes are a type of shoe! They're absolutely perfect. I'll post the picture another time. They are a beautiful shimmering ebony black and they have a teenie insy heel at the back. heh heh. Well, they are going to be my prom shoes so anyone who does not want to take a picture with a tall girl on grad nite would just have to take a picture with me sitting down.

alright then.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my Muslim beloveds. Remember, I love you all!!! (:

oh my god.
Monday, September 29, 2008/9:35 PM
O'levels, O'levels. That is all I can think about right now. Oh yeah and hari raya but after the first of October, the only thing that will be occupying my mind are the nationals. I really have to focus. I have to do whatever in my power to achieve my goals. I am doing multiple overnighters. I might just faint during majulah singapura tomorrow. So my four seven girls should be prepared to catch me if ever I fall. I might just be overcomed with fatigue.

And I know what some of you might be thinking. "Gee Namira, if you are so for one hundred percent for your O'levels and are prepared to put in your most effort and all that crap, what are you freaking doing at the computer?" Well my cynic readers out there, there are such things called breaks and here I am, taking one. So sue me for making sure I don't collapse tomorrow morning. "Yeah right. And I'm Johnny Depp's neighbour."

OH well, even so, a girl cannot escape chores for very long. When you imprison yourself in your bedroom ALL DAY studying/sleeping, you are bound to receive your share in household chores in bucket loads. So after this, I have to hang the clothes (two washloads of it) before I resume studying. Which soooo isn't fair. Because I need to study. Why can't my parents see that? And tomorrow, even though I am going home early, I am not allowed to study. I have to hari-raya-prepare otherwise I cannot study. SHEESH.

'Namira, if you don't help me make the sambal goreng and lodeh you cannot study today.'- Mommy.

Wow, the whole world has reversed. Now I have to BEG for time to study. Freaking unfair. Is it sooo bad that I want a decent FUTURE?

20 days, and I'll be able to slack again.

hari raya preparations
Sunday, September 28, 2008/10:53 AM
oh my god hari raya is absolutely draining. I have to apologies today as my grammar will be all over the place because I am not taking account of it because I am so freaking tired. I mean really, how many times do you have to clean the house to convince your parents that it is clean enough? what, five million times? I had to climb a ladder like forty times today just to fix the curtains in my house. And there are a lot of curtains that need fixing.

What else did I have to do. I had to rearrange the furniture because my family has this ungetridable (warned you about my english) tradition where we must rearrange at least on piece of furniture in my house. This year, we moved the computer from the living room into the balcony.

OH YEAH. For all of you that have been inside my room/disaster area (aka hulabagi, nabilah, cheryl lua) you would know that my room is inhabitable for humans. It is just so freaking darn messy. No. Messy is an understatment. It is chaos inside my room. And I had to clean it. I HAD TO CLEAN IT. I cannot believe this. Do you guys have any idea what a CHORE it is to clean my room? No. You don't.

SO yeah. I have to invite my girls out tomorrow. HEY GIRLS! IF YOU READ THIS, PLEASE MAKE YOURSELVES FREE TOMORROW AFTER SCHOOL BECAUSE I NEED TO BUY HARI RAYA SHOES! thank you.

AFTERNOON OUT WITH MY GIRLS(:
Friday, September 26, 2008/8:59 PM
Pictures will tell you about my fantastic afternoon out with SYAFIQAH and SISKA! I love them and they are so funny. I love laughing with them. It was super fun. Today, we decided to read pre-schooler books because it is such a break from overwhelmingly long textbooks.

And it was suuuper funny because when we wanted to go into the learning room, Syafiqah got to open the door and it was a really cool door that made really nice noises when it opens and closes. So I wanted to open it. So I let them go in first and stayed outside. After they went inside, I closed the door and attempted to open the door again, but to no avail.

I pushed and shoved against the handle and the door but failed and gave up because I was too busy laughing. FYI, Syafiqah and Siska have NO IDEA that I am stuck outside at this point. SO they are just walking absently around. I Kept knocking and banging against the door until siska finally noticed. After which she did not help me immediately, she just pointed her finger at me and laughed at me.

SO here are the pictures:

I read a book called Auntie Claus. It was about this materialistic young girl named Sophie who loved presents. She found out that her auntie was Santa Claus's sister. Weird, I know.

Self-Help Study Association.
Thursday, September 25, 2008/8:04 PM
So, yesterday night/this morning I had an intensive studying programme which included me and myself. It was really good because I managed to cram alot of things in my head because I don't really have alot of time before my life takes a turn for the best or for the worse in October. I really need to be prepared. Judging from my preliminary results, I am almost there. I just need to push myself further. I need to reach my aspirations or I would not know what to do with myself.

So here are some of the pictures I took with my phone to depict my self study. I took about half an hour to do this crap. And it was a good break for me.

For any break, who does not need a good snack? Well, for me I ate this FANTASTIC thing that my mom made which is called bubur somsom and hot tea with five teaspoons of sugar. They taste freaking brilliant together. It might not look that appealing but I swear, it tastes like heaven.

SO, when you are overwhelming busy studying, you read alot of big books with at times, very big and complex words. Hence forth, it is good to take a break from all that and read some dumb proof literature. You know, those created for five year olds? (ahem ahem hakim) yeah. That makes me relaxed.

After relaxing my mind for a while in the living room with my snackage and reading material, it's time to head back to the room. I needed to resume studying.

My table:

yup, I know. Frickin' messy right? well. no time to make it neat.

This is some of the random things I did while slacking/studying. I needed to keep myself entertained.

Yeah well, you might be wondering, why haven't I put any pictures of myself? WELL, I just wanted to save you all from seeing how I look like at two in the morning when I am all stressed out and moody. It's not pretty.

PEACE FROM STUDYING AND APPARENTLY FROM PULAU REDANG, TERENGGANU. (:

what's up kids?

SO. You guys notice something? I always start my blog post or a new paragraph with SO. I don't know why. I guess its because I am so used to saying it when I really talk its sort of a become a habit. I just thought that I should clear the air first before people start noticing and say 'sheesh. can't she think of any other word?'

SO(: Today was a very NORMAL day. You know, when you live in Singapore, everyday is bound to be a normal day unless some significant occasion occurs, which does not happen often. I got some of my prelims marks back and I have to say, for preliminary exams, I did sort of well. Still, I would still have to mug like crazy otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep at night because I feel so guilty. And this might sound excrutiatingly weird but....

I enjoy studying.

I don't know why but studying is sort of exhilirating. I always feel refreshed after studying, I don't feel like sleeping anymore. I just study. Haha. You guys might be assuming that I am only saying that to make myself more psyched up to study. Well, you're half right.

There are many things I want to do after my exams:
1) Go to a party.
2) Read five million books.
3) Accomplish all of my new year's resolutions (:
4) spend a whole ten hours online.
5) write a book called
a)GCE O' Levels: Fact or Fiction?
b)To Hell With National Exams: An end to stress and teenage suicides.
c)O'levels or Life? : How to juggle the nationals while keeping yourself alive.
d) The Road to The Big O: Real life Stories of Teenagers who surpress themselves to stress and drug addiction.
e) Why Me?: The story of a girl who turned 16 in Singapore.

Okay, I'm not going to write a book but still.

..wow..

So. Hello everyone. Just decided to do a little shout out today about my life so far. You know, blogging is a skill that one normally takes for granted. You cannot really express how you feel through a bunch of letters on a screen. I mean, for all you know, I could be shouting right now angrily or happily. Its not very clear. So, all of you cannot judge how I feel right now. So I am going to tell all of you now.

I, Namira Nasir, am abnormally happy.

Just thought my readers should have a clear overview of the way I feel right now. Instead of having to search the entire post for any expressions of emotions of things like that. So, I am not going to tell you the reason for why I am happy today. But I just am. Someone might know why and I would like to give a personal shout out to that person. Hi. Thanks for reading my blog.

Oh well.. Things happen, for the better or for worse.

Hey, thanks for telling me what you had to say. Thanks for letting me say what I had to say as well (:

Mamma Mia.
Saturday, September 20, 2008/8:17 AM
OH MY GOODNESS.
Mamma Mia is one of the best movies ever!

I know I have said that about alot of movies but this time, I am absolutely for real. I love musicals. And ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamt of watching MAMMA MIA the musical! When I was at Las Vegas last year, I was secretely praying that Mamma Mia would be one of the shows showing that weekend. But obviously, there wasn't. I was so disappointed. I have never watched a real live musical ever. But I will one day. I promised myself I will and I will. AND! I will not be late (ahem qayyum)

SO. Yesterday, I watched MAMMA MIA THE MOVIE with NABILAH! She is an absolute sweetheart to have actually watched it with me because she had just watched it the day before and I thought that she would be bored with it (unlikely) and not want to watch it. BUT SHE DID! And I bloody enjoyed every single second of it. I JUST LOVE MAMMA MIA! SKY IS SO HOT! And the dancing was simple but really cute and really fufilled the aim of the whole movie. Let me do a rundown of the characters for you:

1) SOPHIE! The girl who is going to get married who has been brought up by a single mum her whole life and she doesn't know who her dad is.
2) DONNA! The single mum who had flings with three men during the period that she got pregnant so she doesn't know who the father of her child is.
3) SKY! The absolute hottie who sophie is getting married to.
4) The potential dads:
a)HARRY BRIGHT(a.k.a head banger)! Colin Firth who acted in bridget jones diary who is really hot in a british way.
b)SAM CARMICHAEL! Who knew pierce brosnan (a.k.a Bond, James Bond) could sing? Or try to.
c)BILL AUSTIN! WHO IS ACTUALLY BOOTSTRAP BILL TURNER FROM PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!~~~!!!!! WATCH OUT FOR HIM WHEN YOU WATCH THE MOVIE! The way he walks and talks. Nabilah says only an enthusiast of POTC like me could have caught that.
5) TANYA! Donna's best friend who is super rich and has undergone countless plastic surgeries.
6)ROSIE! Donna's other best friend who has her own cookbook which is a bestseller.

I love that movie. I love the songs. I love Sky.

After the movie, me and nabilah couldn't stop talking about the movie and we kept jumping around when we talked about it because it was just a bloody brilliant movie. We kept squealing, singing and dancing during the show, I think it ticked the other viewers off. THE VIEWERS, which included the foursix boys and girls. TIMOTHY loved the show, I think. While me and tweenie were walking down from ehub, we saw MY FOURSEVEN BOYS! HAHAHAHAHA! This was the conversation:

Namira and Nabilah were on the first floor when they saw the four seven boys taking the escalator to the basement...

Namira: HI YOU GUYSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of the Boys: Hi Namira!
Namira: What are you guys DOING HERE?
Zafran, Faris, Jeremy: BOWLING!!!
Namira and Nabilah laughed.
Zafran: What are YOU doing here?
Namira: I JUST WATCHED MAMMA MIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nabilah: YEAH IT WAS THE BEST MUSICAL EVER MAN!!!
All the boys look at each other uncomprehendingly.
Duane: eeeeeee........

This entire conversation was managed while the boys were going down the escalator to the basement. WOW. Even I can't imagine it. Seemed very short then. Oh well.

Then me and nabilah walked through the park and then we went to the playground! HAHAHAHAHAHA! And we played the swings because we were still feeling MAMMA MIA-ish. We took a video and had a rocking time swinging. But after I was super dizzy. I used to be able to sit on the swing for an hour without ever getting tired. I must be getting old.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK NABILAH ZAHARAH SHAH FOR A WONDERFUL SIX HOURS OUT WITH ME WHERE WE DIDN'T EVEN STOP TALKING FOR ONE SECOND EVEN IN THE MOVIE WE WERE TALKING WHEN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE QUIET AND ALL THAT. I LOVE YOU NABILAH AND I LOVED TALKING TO YOU! you shall always be my tweenie and we shall mamma mia another day(:

LAST DAY OF PRELIMINARIES
Thursday, September 18, 2008/12:43 PM
Ladies and gentlemen,

PRELIMS ARE OVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes they are.
AND DO YOU WANNA KNOW WHY? BECAUSE WE WORKED OUR ASSES OFF BABY FOR OUR LAST NON-NATIONAL EXAMINATION OF OUR COMPULSORY TEN-YEAR EDUCATION LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah. but let's not all dwell on the fact that O'levels is a month away.
let us all rejoice nonetheless.

SO. I wanna tell you all about my day today. It started at about five when I woke up for SAHUR. After praying, I went back to sleep and only woke up to wake my sister up so that she can go to school. After that I was sleeping and sleeping and dreaming about inexistent spy assasins and how I was held captive by a man determined to rob the world of its supply of cheese and literature textbooks. EVIL. So, after I was saved by Agent Skyder, I awoke to see that IT WAS 10 IN THE MORNING! Actually around here I wasn't panicking. In fact I was like 'damn. I woke up too early.'

After getting ready for sekolah, I waltzed to school while taking in the mid-morning sights. I took this as an oppurtunity to see life in pasir ris after seven in the morning on a weekday. It was very quiet. No children crying about not wanting to go to school or teenagers chattering excitedly about the new song by David Archuleta. Only senior citizens walking around aimlessly and silently, wondering when their grandchildren will be out of school or when their children will come and visit. Everything was bathed in golden sunlight and the sky was so heavenly blue. I just took my time and even took some pictures.

There were several things that I saw that I didn't usually see when I walk to school with Syafiqah. For instance, when we walked past the Daycare/Education centre we normally see children entering the school in drips and draps, accompanied by their parents who were already dressed in work clothes. Today, I looked into the school and saw the children already at their work and play. Some children were scrawling out pictures on pieces of paper, others were drying and displaying their paintings proudly in the bask of sunlight. Some were singing songs about the number three who was sad and didn't want to go home. It was so cute. I should walk there with syafiqah some day.

And so you could assume what I did for the rest of my journey and the speed of my walking. I was so lost in the mid-morning beauty that I was trapped by its mesmorising shimmering beauty. I know. Sort of an overboard description of a typical Pasir Ris morning but I don't know. Maybe I was hungry or something.

I arrived at school completely relaxed and unoccupied. In my head I was thinking 'BRING ON PHYSICS BABY!' When I stepped in, the security guard looked at me like I was talking to myself or something. SO I looked at him knowingly and said, 'Prelims.' I felt kind of pissed that I had to explain myself to the stout officer in white. I mean DUH. I AM A PRELIM GIRL. LOOK AT ME. I mean, who goes into school at TEN THIRTY in the morning. I should have given him a piece of my mind. Look at me. What with my small sized bag and my sweater draped over my shoulder. It should have been pretty OBVIOUS that my purpose on that day was to face prelims. SHEESH.

When I went into the hall, I was like 'Hmm.. Maybe I am a bit late. I'm sure they are just sitting down now. They should have just stepped into the hall. It's only ten thirty.'

With a smirk, I opened the hall door. The entire batch of four seven and four eight were already in their neat rows flipping through their exam papers to see whether they have the right number of pages. Surprised by the sudden outburst of sunlight that shone upon now on their drained faces and tables, THEY ALL LOOKED UP. They looked somewhat relieved. Others were confused. Others were amused. And then, her voice rang with authority as it echoed through the hall.

'NAMIRA! WHY ARE YOU LATE? YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO!'

oh.

I LOVE JOHNNY DEPP
Wednesday, September 17, 2008/4:53 PM

I found this information on the WEB: http://www.johnnydeppweb.com/

After playing a pirate in “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, versatile Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is set to play the Mad Hatter in the film version of “Alice in Wonderland”. Thesun.co.uk reports the movie will be shot in 3D and Depp teams up with his friend and collaborator, director Tim Burton. The two have worked together on six movies.

A source said: “Burton has had designs on ‘Alice In Wonderland’ since before he was famous. He has a knack for turning what seem like stories for just kids into gripping, spooky fables loved just as much by adults. He’s held out on doing ‘Alice’ till he got a big enough budget. Now this film is financed by Disney so money won’t be a problem.”

Unknown actress Mia Wasikowska will play Alice. Production will start next year and the release is planned for the summer of 2010

OH MY GOD! I WILL SO FALL IN LOVE WITH THE MOVIE! WOOH.

PICZ 4 YOUR PWEAZURE.

Hello quickers and slowers.
Monday, September 15, 2008/9:26 PM
HELLO. SO. Let me talk about my day today. It all started in the WEE hours of the morning. I remembered waking up and saying, 'Do I need to study maths? Hmm.. Nah.' So I recalled switching off my mobile phone alarm and snoozing back into dreams about golden sunsets and prince charmings.

And then, walked to school with syafiqah. And then we chatted about how she didn't study and I felt relieved and guilty at the same time. You are used to feeling relieved when your very knowledgable and smart best friend does not study. I felt guilty because HOW COULD I EXPECT SUCH A THING? Bad namira. Haha. Well, love syaf anyway.

And then, we assembled in the hall even though it didn't rain. I guess it was good though. I got to catch up with my classmates and talk about things that were not regarding chemical equations or maths formulas. So me and hanan were talking about how he thinks DEMI LAVATO is the hottest person in the world and I was saying how her face is so budak (childish) and then he would he reply me with his ever so popular phrase 'At least better than YOU!' Uhuh. Times with Syed Hanan.

And then, went to the hall for maths test, I mean examination. It was overall okay. I kept thinking about what I was going to eat for buka and how zafran said I was going to get cancer because I ate maggie mee for fourteen straight days. I believe the actual quote was 'That's like eating cancer for fourteen days.' Okay zafran. At least liverpool won. At least they won otherwise you would get crap from me. So the exam was okay, but I think I lost three marks at the graph question..... Okay, who cares?

After that, I went to the school library to await my three best friends from their physics exam. When I went inside, there were alot of secondary threes and four one people there. SO I just took a seat and 'studied' physics. I would like to give a shoutout to RAZZAN AND ATIQAH for saying hi to me and wishing me luck for my exams. They are so sweet(: So I just ambled along and then this couple from fourone started arguing and fighting in the library and because I was trying soooo hard to sleep I mean study, I was quite pissed. And then this fourone guy said 'Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the drama mama club.' HAHA. I wanted to laugh but I thought it would be rude.

So, I 'studied' even after all the people left. After they all left, I talked to the librarian and how she gives face to the Muslim people who come to the library when they fast and she lets them talk. She is such a nice lady. When I got so tired from studying, I just slept. Surprise surprise. I waited and waited and waited for those three girls and it was the most boring 1.5 hours of my life. For shizzle. And it was very creepy in the quiet library because I thought I was going to wake up to a dark room when someone whispered my name eeriely.... Freaky.

WHEN THEY FINALLY FINISHED, all four of us went to our secret place *snicker* and played a game with cards. Again. I swear, Siska is addicted. After we played and spent sometime rolling one the floor laughing we played a game that we would ask for a brand name from each one of us and it would go around in a circle and we cannot stop. BEcause my girls here are so brand-ly inclined, I sort of fell back.

While they were naming brands like Dolce&Gabbana, G2000, United Colours of Benetton, Forever21, ZA, Kate Spade, Topman, River Island, Revlon and all of those fashionista brands, I was naming brands like Popular, Hamid&Sons, HotWheels, Starhub, Hyundai, Maggie, AxeBrand, KRAFT, Gardenier. All those food and local brands. Pathetic namira, pathetic. At least I named DKNY. That's a plus point.

After that, we went to the basketball court upstairs to checkup on the guys. There, I saw WANLIN, WAIYIN and VANESSA there. Then we played this game with the word ULTIMATE in it with my cards. IT WAS SOOOOO FUN. And syaf kept being the first one to approach a new level. It's okay syafiqah. Games are only fun with syaf around. HAHA. Playing that game was hilarious. Shayne introduced it to us btw.

So, I'd better go study physics and amaths now.

On second thought, I'll just study physics.

This one is for you, Aana Seow.

what's happening folks?

SO! I have decided to post yet again for the benefit for all my dedicated readers. I am going to study after this I promise. I know all of you are afraid that I might spend too much time updating that I will just dump my education altogether. But really, I am not aiming to do that at all. I am a very good girl. Ask anybody.

ALright, what shall I entertain all of you WEIRDOS today? OOH! I know. Youtube videos.

Watch this. It's hilarious. Siska introduced it to me. It's the most funniest crap ever:

I love TWILIGHT! THis will probably not make any sense to any of you if you have yet to watch the REAL trailers.

So there.

OOH! watch this also.

You know. I don't understand myself. WHY AM I DOING this when the people who are going to read this have already watched the twilight trailers? WHY. AM. I. SO. DUMB.

oh well. we all know where I belong.

Happy Birthday, Meridyn

WOOH. HEre to update again. You know what? I have to give a shoutout to two people. MARYAM ALJOFERI and TAY WAN LIN. You know, they can still update their blogs (well maryam is on hiatus). And suddenly I remembered how much I love blogging. It is really awesome, being able to express oneself without having to look in a textbook. If you didn't understand what I just said, don't worry. Neither do I.

WOOH. TOday, I played a game with my girls syaf and siska. haha. it is really ironic and weird that we are playing that game even though we are fasting but we had so much fun so it didn't really matter. I love you guys. Every game/incident with you guys just rocks ass man. wooh. I said ass. I am a queen of cursing.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THREE AND TWILIGHT.
I will post pictures of the last day of term three on my blog in the next update. WHereby I will feature the best and the worst sides of NPCC and NCC leaders. (a.k.a zafran and hanan)HAHA. love those boys.

what am I doing here?
/9:21 PM
You know, it is supremely ironic that I am here today. Updating my blog. You know, if several of you out there have yet to realize that I have ceased blogging due to academic circumstances, here is a reminder. But that was not my primary intention of me blogging today. I wouldn't want to be out of touch with my blogging persona that I have neglected recently. Tsk tsk tsk. But nevertheless, I am here today, updating.

There have been several people who have insisted on visiting this dead blog. You know, I have that site counter on my blog for a reason. I can tell when people are coming to my blog or otherwise. And there are. Persistent ones. Oh well, maybe they come here in the hope that the stupid blogger will hopefully come to her senses and start updating the bloody blog already. Oh well, all of a sudden, I feel like the careless and carefree secondary 3 girl I had been just a year ago. No worries. No academic doom oncoming. WOW. Nostalgia is very powerful.

I promise I will update when I feel like it. Right now, I have to study for Literature. I know. Whose Life is It Anyway people.

that paragraph can be read. its not just a jumble of words. just so you know.

self-proclamation.
My life is not a fascination worth the scrutiny of those who watch over me. Yet, I live amongst thin air and sparkling personalities. I am an avid fan of the KoreanPop scene. So bring me to the number thirteen.

read my lips.

they're watching.
