Well, look who's here to update. WHICH IS REALLY STUPID. Because of all times, Namira Nasir chooses NOW to update her blog. But hey, can you honestly blame me? My overwhelming sense of randomness tends to consume me and takes control of my entire being and makes my fingers go tap tap tap on the keyboard. Anyway, what better way to prepare for my English O's right?
On second thought, nobody say O'levels. I shall now substitute the word with... The Finale; Our Last Performance. Everybody would rather use words like THE DEATH DAY or DOOMSDAY or THE DAY WHERE WE SHALL ALL DIE but if we really look at it in a positive glow, this is what we have been working for. I mean, might as well get it over with. SHEESH. I'm starting to sound like my class boys.
Okay, so I have sort of been mugging (gasps) for the finale and I really must say, it's very draining. I've been doing major overnighters and have not been eating and I think I had a fever this morning. There might be someone (ahem ahem) who has been taking a fanatical interest in my health lately which is really sweet but I need to study. It's like, breathing for me now. "one does not love breathing" -Scout.
Principle of Moments: For a body to be in equllibrium, the sum of clockwise moments about a point must be equal to the sum of anti-clockwise moments about that same point.
Yeah so as you can see, I am absolutely enslaved by the urge to revise and berulangkaji. That's why I am morphing this blog post into a post/revision for me. Hahaha. Well its not really working because I am sort of stating things that are really basic. Maybe I should state Faraday's Law. OH GREAT. I forgot. Is direction FARADAY or LENZ? GREAT. I forgot. I am such a dumb blonde.
'Oh well,' she sings.
I should talk about chemistry now. I've already understood Cations and Anions. OOH I KNOW.
Graphite Now, graphite here is a real bugger. He is the ONLY covalent structure that CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY. What IS UP with that? You know why? People say its because he has a sea of delocalised electrons in his structure that are mobile and can carry electricity. But GUESS WHAT? Do you know that he is soft and slippery? Yeah, I know. Why? Well you know that graphite is arranged in layers right? So, word has it that the forces between the layers are super weak so they can slide over each other. That's why he is so soft and slippery. GOD. What the hell right? sheesh. This is how I explained to zafran why very reactive metals form compounds that have very high melting and boiling points:Zafran: hey namira, why do very reactive metals' compounds have very high melting/boiling points?Namira tries to explain chemically but she lost her train of thought.Namira: Well, let's put it this way okay? Lets say.... Magnesium is this SUPER romantic who is really in love with oxygen. Like MAJORLY in love. okay?Zafran: *blank face*Namira: Now imagine copper is this stupid player/casanova that cheats on every woman he's with. Now, the relationship between magnesium and oxygen will definitely be stronger right because magnesium is this romeo of a romantic. i.e a lot of heat energy will be needed to break bonds. But the relationship between copper and oxygen will be really crumbly and will be easily broken because copper sucks right? so little heat energy is needed right? so yeah.Zafran: *blank face* ooookkaaaayyy..Chemistry is way better when you create a story. And a lot more interesting.what about maths? hmm...4-3=1yeah okay. oh maths is so DUH. its just really irritating. and you cannot make a story with maths. Like what can I possibly say? Oh. I had four sweets you know, and then I ate three so I only left one. stupid right? So I really don't bother.okay, I have to go now. It's one in the morning and I studied eight hours today. WOOH. hey you, thanks for studying with me today. I needed it. (:
